Hoops HQ: A New Era for College Basketball Media
After six months of development, Hoops HQ has officially launched as the premier digital destination for college basketball enthusiasts. Designed to provide in-depth coverage and community for NCAA basketball fans, Hoops HQ combines exclusive insights, expert analysis, and multimedia content that brings fans closer to the game than ever. As the head of this project, I worked closely with InsideHook and co-founder Seth Davis, creating a platform that speaks directly to the passion and dedication of college basketball fans. This project marks a new chapter in college sports media, offering a year-round “arena” for news, longform storytelling, community engagement, and live events. With its freemium model, Hoops HQ will grow as both a digital and real-life hub, offering content across web, social, email, SMS, video, and event-based activations.
Leading Creative Development and Execution
From conception to execution, I led the design vision for Hoops HQ, working alongside the exceptionally skilled team at Forefathers, who crafted the graphics and built the website. My role encompassed directing all creative aspects—from overseeing the design and visual storytelling to organizing and leading photoshoots that would become core assets across multiple channels. Each element was crafted to ensure the brand’s identity resonated with our target audience, focusing on high-quality, engaging visuals that capture the energy of college basketball.
Additionally, I directed the PR and marketing strategies, launching Hoops HQ with a comprehensive promotional plan that included press releases, targeted media outreach, and influencer partnerships to generate excitement across major sports media outlets. This multi-platform campaign has firmly established Hoops HQ in the sports media landscape, positioning it as the ultimate go-to resource for college basketball enthusiasts.
